IT’S PURPOSE.
Many Organizations, Institutions and Companies, do hire security officers (Guards) to provide security services on twenty-four hours / seven days basis. One major important duty of these officers is to conduct periodic patrols to the premises/facility in order to detect any suspicious and abnormal activity such as burglary attempts, doors left unlocked, water leaks, burnt our lights, safety hazards…. among others.
To get maximum value from your security personnel, it is essential that patrols to be conducted at least several times per shift (especially at nights) and should sufficiently cover all sensitive areas on the entire compound. But unfortunately, this does not always take place as on many shifts’ security guards may choose to remain in their Guard house. Mostly on bad weather days they may decide not to patrol at all, some being busy on their phones or even falling asleep, thereby leaving entire premises vulnerable to serious incidents which could have been avoided. —For these reasons, Africom Integral Security has come up with “Guard Patrol Monitoring Systems” to solve such problems.
Real-time Guard Patrol Monitoring System.
This is an essential tool used by Organizations, Institutions and Companies to know in Real-time, when and where security Guards are actually making patrols, without manually supervising them, but through the use of an automated system.
Benefits.
1. The installations of the “checkpoints stations” along the Patrol routes are completely wireless therefore eliminating the need of trenching, conduits and cabling.
2. Client is able to have Patrol-Details on their respective cell-phones in Real-time so that if they notice some patrol areas have been skipped, they can raise a concern right away.
3. The system can further be integrated with an alarming siren, such that if some areas have not been patrolled for a programmable time-length, the Alarm will go OFF, alerting the security Guard and sending that information to the client and our control room in Real-time.
4. If security personnel are aware that their patrol activities are recorded, definitely there will be a strong motivation for them to carry on their work seriously.
5. The amount of manual Guard supervision required is drastically reduced or eliminated by the use of this automated monitoring.
6. The record of all patrol activities can be used as a proof to settle discrepancies for incident investigations by the insurance company or regulatory agencies should such needs arise in future.
